Sturnbridge Neighborhood – Popular Spot in South Charlotte

Sturnbridge neighborhood in South Charlotte is a very popular landing spot for home buyers looking for a friendly, welcoming neighborhood that has an AWESOME location – just 15 minutes to either Southpark Mall or Ballantyne.  Sturnbridge is a relatively small neighborhood, with a major looping street (Meadowridge DR) with a few side streets with cul-de-sacs radiating off the main road.  You’ll find a nice mix of architectural types in Sturnbridge – from  bungalows and cottages to colonial and Georgian homes.

The centerpiece of the neighborhood is the Sturnbridge park.  Come out on a warm and sunny day, and you’ll find moms with young kids as well as retirees taking a stroll.  The park features a great playground, a basketball court, a tennis court, and a nice field for pickup football, soccer or baseball games.  This park sees a lot of neighborhood action, so you’re sure to make friends quickly!  Check out the Sturnbridge Facebook Page!

Sturnbridge homes range from  $225,000 to $450,000.  You can check out the current Sturnbridge neighborhood homes for sale above.  Sales prices in the neighborhood have remained steady and are on the rise.  In 2013, the average sales price of a Sturnbridge neighborhood home for sale was $252,158, or $109/SF.  This is an increase from 2012, when the average sales price was $246,000 or just $83/SF.  In 2014, sales prices are increasing again, and days on market are shrinking.  It’s a seller’s market in Sturnbridge!
