The neighborhood is situated around the 18-hole Rees Jones golf course, so there are plenty of golf course lots as well as homes overlooking beautiful ponds. Exterior finishes run the gamut from full brick to stone to hard stucco, and the architectural styles are quite varied.
Looking for a South Charlotte basement home? Ballantyne Country Club has some homes with spectacular full basements that are finished as nicely as the above-grade portion of the home! These homes are highly sought-after, so they tend to sell relatively quickly! Many homes in BCC have gorgeous outdoor living spaces with resort-style pools, outdoor kitchens, spas, water features, decks and porches.
Ballantyne Country Club homes for sale range in price from $500,000 to $3 million and beyond! Most homes have at least 4 bedrooms, and many have six or more! You’ll find fine finishes on the interior – exactly what you would expect of a luxury country club community. HOA fees for the neighborhood are $570, semi-annually. These HOA fees do NOT cover membership/dues for the country club – those fees are separate!

18 Hole Golf Course
The beautiful par 72 golf course was designed by Rees Jones, and it is for players of all levels. With Bermuda Grass fairways and Bent Grass Greens, there are 5 tee boxes: black – 7,034 yards, gold – 6,711, blue – 6,455, white – 6,243, and Jones – 5,728. The juniors tee boxes play at 5,222, and the women’s red tees play at 4,855 yards.
BCC enjoys a very active golf membership, with programs, competitive play and clinics/lessons for men, ladies and juniors (Junior Golf Academy). There are a whole host of golf events to enjoy throughout the year (one of the reasons we love our Charlotte temperature!)
To hone your golf skills, you can practice at the 20 station driving range, 2 putting greens and short game practice area with 2 sand traps. There are 4 golf professionals at BCC, including head golf pro Matt Saggio and Director of Instruction Randy Joyner. Come and check out the 750 SF pro shop with a wide assortment of equipment and clothing to suit every player.
Tennis Facilities
Ballantyne Country Club offers 7 lighted tennis courts for the membership (5 are clay, 2 are hard court), plus 2 more available tennis courts available at neighboring Highgrove. The full-service tennis pro shop serves all your tennis needs, and the tennis pros offers lessons and clinics for all skill levels, for men, women and juniors.
Whether you’re a social or competitive tennis player, there is something for you! BCC players participate in USTA, Queen City Tennis League, Interclub and Junior USTA.
Pools and Aquatic Activities
Ballantyne Country Club South Charlotte has 4 pools for your swimming pleasure, including a play puddle, slide pool, wading pool, and 6 lane competition pool. Kids, ready to strut your stuff? Join the competitive and fun Ballantyne Barracudas summer swim team, which participates in the Greater Charlotte Swim League (ages 5-18). This is a great way to meet your neighbors and have a great time in the summer. Swim lessons are offered for swimmers of all levels, and there are tons of activities/events in which to participate throughout the year.

The full-time Ballantyne Activities Center staff caters to youngsters aged 2.5 and up (must be potty-trained!), and offers golf, tennis, swim, art, camps, and monthly/seasonal activities throughout the year. The Kids Club is a complimentary program for kids ages 5-12, offering activities and outings.

As of this writing, Ballantyne Country Club offers both equity refundable and equity non-refundable memberships. Residency in the Ballantyne Country Club neighborhood is not required. There are several levels of membership available: Full Golf, Sports Golf, Swim/Tennis, and Swim Social. BCC also offers a corporate golf membership.
